Say first Takbeer (‘Allahu Akbar’) and raise both hands up to your earlobes and then place your right hand over your left hand. Firstly, we state our intention (niyyah) in our hearts or audibly that we are going to: "For Salat to Allah, for pray to the dead, I go along with the imam" we say takbir "Allahu Akbar"
Subhanaka is read with the words "wa jalla thanâuka".
Say second Takbeer. Your hands leave them as is. Both are permissible. These takbeers are brought by the imam openly, by the crowd secretly. Allah-umma salli and Allah-umma barik duas" are read.
Say third Takbeer. Your hands leave them as is. Both are permissible. The ones that do not know Janazah dua, may read at this part "Allah humma inna nasta-eenoka"; that is Qunoot Duas, or Surah Al Fatiha for intenton of a pray to the dead.
Say fourth Takbeer and pause for a little while. Then end by saying one Tasleem to the right "Assalamu alaikum wa Rahmatullah". Doing it on both sides as in regular prayer is also ok.
