Surah At Takathur (The Piling Up) Ayat 1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: Abundance diverts you,
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things),
  • M.Pickthall: Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: (Mankind! your) vying with one another to excel in multiplying worldly possessions diverts you (from God and true values of life),
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: Until you come to the graves.
