Surah Al Balad (The City) Ayat 1

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: Nay! I swear by this city.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: I do call to witness this City;-
  • M.Pickthall: Nay, I swear by this city -
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: Nay, (it will never happen as the disbelievers desire.) I do swear by this city (of Makkah),
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: And thou wilt be made free from obligation in this City --
