Surah Abasa (He Frowned) Ayat 3

وَمَا يُدْرِيكَ لَعَلَّهُۥ يَزَّكَّىٰٓ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And what would make you know that he would purify himself,
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?-
  • M.Pickthall: What could inform thee but that he might grow (in grace)
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: And what could make you (O Prophet!) know that he might purify himself.
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: Or be mindful, so the Reminder should profit him?
