Muhammad Habib Shakir: They desire to put out the light of Allah with their mouths but Allah will perfect His light, though the unbelievers may be averse.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Their intention is to extinguish Allah´s Light (by blowing) with their mouths: But Allah will complete (the revelation of) His Light, even though the Unbelievers may detest (it).
M.Pickthall: Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: They desire to extinguish the light of Allâh with (the breath of) their mouths. But Allâh will perfect His light even though the disbelievers consider it hard.
Maulana Mohammad Ali: And who is more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah and he is invited to Islam. And Allah guides not the unjust people.
