Amatul Rahmân Omer:
That is how We let (other people) know about them (- their intentions and the real state of their affairs), that people might know that the promise of Allâh is true and that as to the (coming of the promised) hour there is no doubt about it. And (recall the time) when the people (that followed) argued among themselves about their affairs and they said, `Build a monument over them;´ their Lord knows them best. Those (of them) who won their point said, `We will certainly build a mosque (- place of worship) over them.´
