يَٰلَيْتَهَا كَانَتِ ٱلْقَاضِيَةَ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: O would that it had made an end (of me):
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: "Ah! Would that (Death) had made an end of me!
  • M.Pickthall: Oh, would that it had been death!
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: `Would that it (- the death) had made an end of me!
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: My authority has gone from me.
