Muhammad Habib Shakir: So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: They will then confess their sins: but far will be (Forgiveness) from the Companions of the Blazing Fire!
M.Pickthall: So they acknowledge their sins; but far removed (from mercy) are the dwellers in the flames.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: They will thus confess to their sins (when confession will be of no use). The inmates of the blazing Fire are far removed (from God´s mercy).
Maulana Mohammad Ali: Those who fear their Lord in secret, for them is surely forgiveness and a great reward.
