Muhammad Habib Shakir: Say: You have the appointment of a day from which you cannot hold back any while, nor can you bring it on.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Say: "The appointment to you is for a Day, which ye cannot put back for an hour nor put forward."
M.Pickthall: Say (O Muhammad): Yours is the promise of a Day which ye cannot postpone nor hasten by an hour.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: Say, `For you is the appointment of a day which you cannot delay by a single moment (and thus avoid it), nor shall you be able to go ahead (of it to find an escape from it for a single moment).´
Maulana Mohammad Ali: And they say: When will this promise be (fulfilled), if you are truthful?
