إِنَّا كُنَّا مِن قَبْلُ نَدْعُوهُ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْبَرُّ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
Muhammad Habib Shakir:
Surely we called upon Him before: Surely He is the Benign, the Merciful.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali:
"Truly, we did call unto Him from of old: truly it is He, the Beneficent, the Merciful!"
M.Pickthall:
Lo! we used to pray unto Him of old. Lo! He is the Benign, the Merciful.
Amatul Rahmân Omer:
`We used to call upon Him before (in prayer). Surely, He alone is the Most Beneficent, the Ever Merciful.´
