وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ

Muhammad Habib Shakir: And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet?

Abdullah Yusuf Ali: And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"

M.Pickthall: And said: Shall we forsake our gods for a mad poet?

Amatul Rahmân Omer: And they used to say, `Are we to forsake our gods for the sake of a mad poet?´

Maulana Mohammad Ali: They indeed were arrogant, when it was said to them: There is no god but Allah;
