Muhammad Habib Shakir: Then the pleas shall become obscure to them on that day, so they shall not ask each other.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Then the (whole) story that Day will seem obscure to them (like light to the blind) and they will not be able (even) to question each other.
M.Pickthall: On that day (all) tidings will be dimmed for them, nor will they ask one of another,
Amatul Rahmân Omer: But on that day they will become confused and forget all their excuses and they will not even (be in a position to) consult one another.
Maulana Mohammad Ali: And it will be said: Call your associate-gods. So they will call upon them, but they will not answer them, and they will see the chastisement. Would that they had followed the right way!
