وَمَا نُؤَخِّرُهُۥٓ إِلَّا لِأَجَلٍ مَّعْدُودٍ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And We do not delay it but to an appointed term.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Nor shall We delay it but for a term appointed.
  • M.Pickthall: And We defer it only to a term already reckoned.
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: And We defer it not but for a computed term.
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: Surely there is a sign in this for him who fears the chastisement of the Hereafter. That is a day on which people will be gathered together, and that is a day to be witnessed.
