Surah Hud (Hud) Ayat 118

وَلَوْ شَآءَ رَبُّكَ لَجَعَلَ ٱلنَّاسَ أُمَّةً وَٰحِدَةً ۖ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ مُخْتَلِفِينَ
  • Muhammad Habib Shakir: And if your Lord had pleased He would certainly have made people a single nation, and they shall continue to differ.
  • Abdullah Yusuf Ali: If thy Lord had so willed, He could have made mankind one people: but they will not cease to dispute.
  • M.Pickthall: And if thy Lord had willed, He verily would have made mankind one nation, yet they cease not differing,
  • Amatul Rahmân Omer: Had your Lord (enforced) His will He would have certainly made the whole of mankind one community, but (since He did not like to enforce His will upon people) they would not cease to differ.
  • Maulana Mohammad Ali: And thy Lord would not destroy the towns unjustly, while their people acted well.
