وَجَآءَ أَهْلُ ٱلْمَدِينَةِ يَسْتَبْشِرُونَ

Muhammad Habib Shakir: And the people of the town came rejoicing.

Abdullah Yusuf Ali: The inhabitants of the city came in (mad) joy (at news of the young men).

M.Pickthall: And the people of the city came, rejoicing at the news (of new arrivals).

Amatul Rahmân Omer: And the residents of the city came rejoicing (to the house of Lot).

Maulana Mohammad Ali: And We made known to him this decree, that the roots of these should be cut off in the morning.
