Muhammad Habib Shakir: Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain.
