قَالَ ٱجْعَلْنِى عَلَىٰ خَزَآئِنِ ٱلْأَرْضِ ۖ إِنِّى حَفِيظٌ عَلِيمٌ
Muhammad Habib Shakir:
He said: Place me (in authority) over the treasures of the land, surely I am a good keeper, knowing well.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali:
(Joseph) said: "Set me over the store-houses of the land: I will indeed guard them, as one that knows (their importance)."
M.Pickthall:
He said: Set me over the storehouses of the land. Lo! I am a skilled custodian.
Amatul Rahmân Omer:
(Joseph) said, `Appoint me over the treasures (- granaries and stores) of the land, for I am a careful keeper and possessed of knowledge (of the Job).´
Maulana Mohammad Ali:
And the king said: Bring him to me, I will choose him for myself. So when he talked with him, he said: Surely thou art in our presence to-day dignified, trusted.
