Muhammad Habib Shakir: They said: By Allah! now has Allah certainly chosen you over us, and we were certainly sinners.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: They said: "By Allah! indeed has Allah preferred thee above us, and we certainly have been guilty of sin!"
M.Pickthall: They said: By Allah, verily Allah hath preferred thee above us, and we were indeed sinful.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: They said, `By Allâh, Allâh has surely exalted you above us and we have indeed been guilty.´
Maulana Mohammad Ali: They said: Art thou indeed Joseph? He said: I am Joseph and this is my brother; Allah has indeed been gracious to us. Surely he who keeps his duty and is patient -- Allah never wastes the reward of the doers of good.
