Muhammad Habib Shakir: And do not go about in the land exultingly, for you cannot cut through the earth nor reach the mountains in height.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Nor walk on the earth with insolence: for thou canst not rend the earth asunder, nor reach the mountains in height.
M.Pickthall: And walk not in the earth exultant. Lo! thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou stretch to the height of the hills.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: And do not walk haughtily in the land, for you cannot (thus) rend the earth asunder, nor can you match the mountains in height.
Maulana Mohammad Ali: And follow not that of which thou has no knowledge. Surely the hearing and the sight and the heart, of all of these it will be asked.
