Muhammad Habib Shakir: Thus do We relate to you (some) of the news of what has gone before; and indeed We have given to you a Reminder from Ourselves.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Thus do We relate to thee some stories of what happened before: for We have sent thee a Message from Our own Presence.
M.Pickthall: Thus relate We unto thee (Muhammad) some tidings of that which happened of old, and We have given thee from Our presence a reminder.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: In this way do We relate to you some of the important news of the days gone by. And We have indeed granted you from Us a (sublime) Reminder (- the Qur´ân).
Maulana Mohammad Ali: Your Lord is only Allah, there is no God but He. He comprehends all things in (His) knowledge.
