Muhammad Habib Shakir: They said: Who has done this to our gods? Most surely he is one of the unjust.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: They said, "Who has done this to our gods? He must indeed be some man of impiety!"
M.Pickthall: They said: Who hath done this to our gods? Surely it must be some evil-doer.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: (When they saw their idols broken,) they said, `Who has done this to our gods? He (who has done this) must be of the wrong-doers indeed.´
Maulana Mohammad Ali: So he broke them into pieces, except the chief of them, that haply they might return to it.
