Muhammad Habib Shakir: And reckon not those who are killed in Allah´s way as dead; nay, they are alive (and) are provided sustenance from their Lord;
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Think not of those who are slain in Allah´s way as dead. Nay, they live, finding their sustenance in the presence of their Lord;
M.Pickthall: Think not of those, who are slain in the way of Allah, as dead. Nay, they are living. With their Lord they have provision.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: And think not of those who have been killed in the cause of Allâh as dead. Nay, they are alive, enjoying the company of their (Ever- Living) Lord and well provided (as they deserve to be for an everlasting life);
Maulana Mohammad Ali: Those who said of their brethren whilst they (themselves) held back: Had they obeyed us, they would not have been killed. Say: Avert death from yourselves, if you are truthful.
