Muhammad Habib Shakir: He specially chooses for His mercy whom He pleases; and Allah is the Lord of mighty grace.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: For His Mercy He specially chooseth whom He pleaseth; for Allah is the Lord of bounties unbounded.
M.Pickthall: He selecteth for His mercy whom He will. Allah is of Infinite Bounty.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: Allâh has singled out for His grace (of the bestowal of Divine revelation) one whom He has pleased, for Allâh is the Lord of great eminence.
Maulana Mohammad Ali: And believe not but in him who follows your religion. Say: True guidance -- Allah’s guidance -- is that one may be given the like of what you were given; or they would prevail on you in argument before your Lord. Say: Grace is surely in Allah’s hand. He gives it to whom He pleases. And Allah is Ample-giving, Knowing.
