Muhammad Habib Shakir: And the foremost of them will say to the last of them: So you have no preference over us; therefore taste the chastisement for what you earned.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: Then the first will say to the last: "See then! No advantage have ye over us; so taste ye of the penalty for all that ye did !"
M.Pickthall: And the first of them saith unto the last of them: Ye were no whit better than us, so taste the doom for what ye used to earn.
Amatul Rahmân Omer: And the first of them, (- their leaders) will say to the last of them (- the followers), `(If we are to blame), you (too) are no better than we. Suffer therefore, the punishment of your (evil) deeds.´
Maulana Mohammad Ali: He will say: Enter into the Fire among the nations that have passed away before you from among the jinn and men. Every time a nation enters it curses its sister; until when they all follow one another into it, the last of them will say with regard to the first of them: Our Lord, these led us astray, so give them a double chastisement of the Fire. He will say: Each one has double but you know not.
