Muhammad Habib Shakir: And We rained upon them a rain; consider then what was the end of the guilty.
Abdullah Yusuf Ali: And we rained down on them a shower (of brimstone): Then see what was the end of those who indulged in sin and crime!
M.Pickthall: And We rained a rain upon them. See now the nature of the consequence of evil-doers!
Amatul Rahmân Omer: And We pelted (the rest of) them with a severe rain (- a rain of stones due to volcanic eruption combined with an earthquake). Behold! how (evil) was the end of those who cut off their ties (with Allâh).
Maulana Mohammad Ali: So We delivered him and his followers, except his wife -- she was of those who remained behind.
